In my research I discovered that the Plaza Theatre was an early embracer of diversity. Long before Fairy Tales, or even The Fire I Have Become film festivals, the Plaza was doing their own thing in 1980….

Very true. I remember seeing these films there. The Plaza was the only place in the early 80’s one could see any alternative films of any kind in Calgary, and I am always thanksful for it for giving me my film education.
